How did you come to the Bridge?
God called us to be part of His local church in El Segundo. Pastor Rob and I worked together at Living Way Fellowship in Littleton, Colorado.
What is your role at the Bridge?
I oversee the operations of the church from Sunday volunteers to finances to small groups (which we call Connect Groups) and major events.
What is the best part about your role?
The best part of my role is being able to labor for the advancement of the Kingdom. When I was in the business world, I longed to labor every minute of every day for the Kingdom, not really understanding that there is no separation between Kingdom work and every job work. As Christians, we have Kingdom work to do whether it is in the home, at school, at work, or in the relationships that we build. So the best part of my role can be the best part of your role as well; working for the advancement of the Kingdom! God gives us a good work to do!
FUN STUFF
If you were a color, what color would you be? why?
I would like to be the color blue, not a very bright blue, but a blue with a touch of green it. To me, this color is calming and peaceful, which I can be for about a minute a day. That is why I would like to be blue more than I am at this point in my life.
What do you count as the greatest invention of the last 100 years? why?
Ice cream is the greatest invention in the last 100 years because it is like the color blue.
What is your favorite place on the earth?
Anywhere loved ones are. I find my greatest peace close to those I am close to as well as wide open spaces.
What makes you laugh?
Jerry Lewis, the Pink Panther, Monty Python, and unexpected mayhem with no danger involved.
What makes you cry?
Injustice to the little ones, triumph of the soul against all odds, victory of the underdog after a grueling battle of strength and wits and perseverance.
If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?
Biggest Loser!! Because when we lose ourselves in Christ we are our true self and discover that He has taken the pounds (burdens) away. When I am lost, when I lose the worldly pounds, He is found in me creating His newness of life in and through me!
